Samsung Galaxy TabSamsung have just announced their first Tablet PC with the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

The Galaxy Tab looks set to shake up the Tablet market, which is currently dominated by the Apple iPad. It was unveiled at the IFA conference in Berlin, and it has been revealed that it will run the Google Android operating system with either a 15GB or 32GB capacity, and is further expandable by an extra 32GB (microSD card).

It has an 18cm (7-inch, 1024 x 600 pixel, capacitive touchscreen) screen and weighs 380g (14oz), making it both smaller and lighter than the iPad.

Samsung NF310, NF210, NF110 Announced

Samsung have just announced their new NF series of netbooks to the world.

This new series consists of three new models, the Samsung NF310, the NF210 and the NF110. The NF310 as you might expect is the new highend model, with the NF210 taking the middle place, and the NF110 listed as the bargain model, which doesn’t look set to have a US release.

The top two models make use of the new Intel Atom dual core N550 processor for even faster performance.

This latest Samsung NF series of netbooks are due to be available in both the US and Europe as soon as next month (October).

Gigabyte T1005MWith Intel’s hot new dual core Atom processor, the Atom N550 receiving its officially announcement a few days ago, we are now starting to see more and more netbooks coming out of the woodwork featuring this chip.

It is now Gigabyte’s time with their new T1005M 10-inch tablet convertible netbook, aka netvertible. The Gigabyte T1005M seems to be identical to their previous T1000P netbook, but it has swapped out its previous processor for the latest dual core N550.

Asus 1015PNWhen Asus were showing off all of their latest netbooks at the various trade shows the Asus Eee PC 1015PN was there.

But at the time I confused it with the similar looking and sounding Asus 1015N. The Asus 1015PN is a 10.1-inch netbook featuring the latest Intel Atom N475 N550 dual core processor with DDR3 RAM support and the next generation Nvidia ION graphics (ION 2) and Optimus technology.

Update: The single core N475 processor has been replaced by the new dual core Atom N550.

Ion 2 graphics bring HD playback while the Optimus technology provides longer battery life by intelligently switching between the powerful Ion 2 graphics and the low power Intel graphics.

Asus Eee PC 1015PDG & 1001PXD Uncovered

It looks like two new upcoming unannounced Asus netbooks have been uncovered checking in at the EnergyStar website.

Along with the newly announced dual core Asus 1015PEM powered netbook, it also listed the Asus Eee PC 1015PDG and Eee PC 1001PXD.

The EnergyStar website has become a constant source for finding unannounced netbooks as they have to check in there first to be tested for their Energy rating.

Asus 1015PEMWith Intel officially announcing the availability of their latest dual core Atom N550 processor to the world a few days ago, and stating that a number of netbooks are already available, Asus have just announced their Asus Eee PC 1015PEM netbook.

Asus are claiming to be the first with their Asus 1015PEM, and while they have listed a price of €349 we have just to see it available to purchase.

Intel AtomJust yesterday Intel officially announced the availability of their new dual core Intel Atom N550 processor.

In the press announcement they also said that a dozen netbooks powered by the new Atom N500 processor are already available to purchase.

Well, as of right now, that isn’t exactly true, as there certainly isn’t a dozen right now. But we do know of a number of upcoming netbooks which are powered by the dual core N550 processor.

Dell Mini 1018Dell have just announced a new model to their Inspiron Mini 10 netbook range. The new Dell Mini 1018 has a new curvy design which has been taken from the Inspiron R series.

It has just been officially launched in Europe over the last few days, and in said to be making it way to the U.S this Fall.

Dell say the the Dell Inspiron 1018 offers long battery life at an affordable price. It is currently available in the UK from just £279 (equivalent of $434, but will probably be cheaper on U.S release).

Intel Atom N550 Dual Core [Update]

Atom N455There are a number of reports and rumors flying around the Internet right now suggesting that Intel maybe working on a Dual Core Atom chip for netbooks, which may be called the Intel Atom N550.

Intel’s low power consumption Atom processors are divided into two categories, those for Nettops, and those for netbooks.

Update: The dual core Intel Atom N550 processor is now available, more news below!
