The Acer 3951 is the first ultrabook from Acer, and is expected to be available in a few months for around $799. The 13.3-inch thin and light laptop slots itself into the new “Ultrabook” category which Intel announced back in May this year.
With either a 128GB SSD, or a 250GB / 500GB hard drive the Acer Aspire 3951 ultrabook covers all areas. It will be available with a number of processor options, all the way up to the Intel Core i7 Sandy Bridge processor.
Battery run time is quoted at up to six hours, and the weight is just three pounds. This puts it pretty much on par with the 13-inch Macbook Air, but the Acer 3951 is $500 cheaper.
