Acer’s new and upcoming netbooks haven’t exactly been a secret and we have all the details posted on on the site for a while now. But today Acer have made their new netbooks range official in the US.

The four new netbooks can be split into two groups, the AMD powered netbooks (AO721 AO521), and the Intel powered netbooks (D260, D533).

The two new AMD netbooks are officially available to purchase from today, while the two Intel models will be available later this month.

The AMD Acer Aspire One AO521 and AO721 should have more power than the Intel models, and also feature HDMI (where the Intel ones do not), but their battery life probably won’t be as good.

Acer Aspire One AO521

First up is the Acer Aspire One AO521. This 10.1-inch netbook has a 1024 x 600 pixel display, and is powered by the AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor, and ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics, with 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and up to a 250GB hard drive.

It runs Windows 7 Starter and is available in Black and Brown color options.

The Acer Aspire One AO721 is the larger of the AMD powered netbooks at 11.6-inches with a 1366 x 768 HD LCD. It uses the same AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor, and ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics, but with 2GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium.

The Acer AO721 is currently available from Amazon for $492!

Now for the first on the new Intel powered Acer Aspire One netbooks. First up is the Acer Aspire One AOD260. It has a 10.1-inch LCD with a 1024 x 600 pixel display, and is powered by the Intel Atom N455 CPU, Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 1GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Windows 7 Starter Edition.

The Acer AOD260 will be available in charcoal, black, pink and purple color options.

Pricing of the Acer Aspire D260 starts at $298, and it should be available later this month.

Update: you can now pre-order the “pink flake” version of the AOD260 for $329 from Amazon.

And last but not least is the Acer Aspire One AOD533. This is another 10.1-inch netbook with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. It powered by the Intel Atom N475 processor and GMA 3150 graphics, along with a 250GB hard drive and 1GB of DDR3 RAM, wWindows 7 Starter with an 8 hour battery life.

It has a very nice chrome accents finish and will be available in Black, White and Red color options.

Pricing of the Acer AOD533 starts at $329, it should also be available later this month.
