A brand new 10.1-inch netbook from Acer has been leaked by reliable source, Macles.

The Acer Aspire One 533 netbook is one of the latest generation netbooks to make use of the new Intel Atom N455 / N475 processors which have new DDR3 RAM support.

While the new DDR3 RAM is faster, it only provides a small real usage boost to the netbook, but the DDR3 RAM uses 1.5V, rather than 1.8V making it more energy efficient than the standard DDR2 RAM, and provides a small battery life boost, resulting in 10 hours of run time.

Other than the DDR3 support, the Acer Aspire One 533 has a great new design with plenty of chrome thrown in. The touchpad buttons are surrounded by a chrome finish, along with another strip of chrome near the bottom of the lid.

The Acer Aspire AO533 also looks very slim with an essentially flush 6-cell battery. There is also a very large panel at the bottom of the netbook for upgrading its some of its hardware. There is also optional Bluetooth 3.0+HS.

There is currently no word of the Acer Aspire One 533′s price or release date.

Update: Acer have now officially announced the Aspire One 533 at Computex, and all of its specifications are now known.

It has been revealed that it will come with an optional HD display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, and optional 3G. Both 3 and 6 cell battery options will be available, with the 6-cell lasting 10 hours.

Update 2: The Acer AO533 is now available to Order from Amazon! It’s available in black or red colour options, with either a 160GB HDD for $329 or a 250GB hard drive for $349.
