Over the last week one of Acer’s latest netbooks, the Aspire One 721 has been officially announced and and shown up at Amazon.
The 11.6-inch impressive looking netbook is the AMD & ATI version of the Acer Aspire 1830T, which has traded in its Intel internals in favor of AMD’s.
It retains its impressive looking chassis and design, but how makes use of the more powerful AMD Athlon II Neo Processor K125 processor, and the powerful ATI Radeon HD 4225 graphics with 384 MB video memory.
This makes the Acer Aspire AO721 more than capable of playing back full 1080p HD videos and even outputting them to your monitor or HDTV via its HDMI output. It also features VGA output and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
The Aspire One 721 has an 11.6-inch LCD with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, and comes with 2GB of DDR3 RAM and a 250GB hard drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit edition.
It measures less than one in thick and weighs 3.09 lbs. The 6-cell 4400mAh battery is quoted to last up to 5.5 hours.
Amazon are listing the Acer Aspire AO721-3574 for $429 and it is available to order now.
