Acer have just announced another new 11.6-Inch netbook to their lineup. The new Acer Aspire One 725 builds on the very impressive and best selling Aspire One 722 (read my review here).
While the netbook market has been quiet of late, Acer shows us they haven’t quit the market, and are producing the best netbooks to date.
Much like the latest versions of the 722, the Acer AO725 makes use of AMD’s C-60 CPU paired with the AMD Radeon HD 6290 graphics.
This energy efficient and dual core processor and graphics give the Aspire One 725 enough power to watch HD video, and play a number of games. As a HDMI output is also featured, the netbook can easily be connected to a HDTV or computer monitor.
As well as impressive specifications such as a 320 or 500GB hard drive, and supporting up to 4GB of DDR3 RAM, the netbook has a great design which measures just 25mm thick, 200mm deep and 285mm wide. It’s no heavy weight at 1.25kg.
It features a HD 1366 x 768 pixel resolution 11.6-Inch “CineCrystal LED backlit display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, perfect for watching widescreen HD videos.
It will be available in “Volcanic black” and “Caribbean blue” color options. The colors extend to include the palm rest and between the keys, giving the Acer AO725 a very highend professional look.
If your budget can’t stretch to paying for an ultrabook, the stylish and powerful Acer Aspire One 725 should be a very good choice.
It comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit edition and will be available in Italy in July for 359 Euros. There is currently no word on a European or U.S release, but we’re sure we will see it in the not too distant future.
