Acer ChromiaA few weeks ago Google announced the Acer Chrome book, along with the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook. Now this Acer Chromebook has an offical name, it will be known as the Acer Chromia 700.

It is already listed on Amazon and scheduled for release on June 15th, but we’re hearing that it might be delayed by a week or two. Amazon are listing two models, the Acer Cromia AC761-1099 without 3G, and the Acer Cromia AC761-1529 with.

The 11.6-inch Acer Chromebook is powered is powered by the Intel Atom N570 CPU, with a 16GB SSD, and promised an eight second boot time, and instant-on functions. There are two USB ports, HDMI output, webcam and a 6.5 hour battery life. It also quite clearly runs the new Google Chrome operating system.

The Acer Cromia AC761 is also cheaper than the other Samsung Series 5 Chromebook, starting at $349.

White the Acer Cromia is schedualed for June 15th release, we are hearing it might be a little late, but I’m sure by there there will be a pre-order running on Amazon’s chromebook page.

    Chromebooks are fantastic if you use only the web or spend almost all of your time on the web; sub-10 second boot, great security and great battery life.
    If you don’t or don’t have internet access most of the time, these aren’t for you just yet.
