Acer Ferrari OneMany people are now looking towards larger and faster netbooks, such as the popular Acer 1410. There aren’t many things faster than a Ferrari, and when it comes to netbooks the newly announced Acer Ferrari One netbook is one of the fastest.

The Acer Ferrari One F200 is an 11.6-inch netbook which features the also newly announced AMD Congo platform.

Inside the Ferrari Red colored and branded netbook, is a dual-core 1.2GHz Athlon X2 L310 CPU with 1MB L2 Cache, M780G chipset and powerful ATI Radeon 3200 graphics. This whole setup is a lot faster than the typical Atom setup most netbook feature, and with the hardware decoding of the ATI Radeon 3200 graphics, 1080p playback will be a breeze.

I bought one and am extremely happy with it. It is fast right out of the box. And with 500gb of hdd space, it can store anything you put into it, games, movies, songs, photos. But I decided to even up the ante on performance by installing a Runcore IV ssd, and this thing literally zooms through any computing task you throw at it. And the looks, mas this thing is gorgeous!

Defintely you get what you pay for on this machine: it’s a reliable multitasking 64bit running machine. With a generous amount of RAM and hard drive and it’s stunning looks. it’s a keeper. if you are into pistols this one can be compared to a 357 snub nosed nickel plated magnum. packs a really wild punch when you need it the most. And you won’t be left 4 dead. battery life is rated in my actual usage at 5hours continous under power saver mode without using stabdby or hibernate. it should last longer when you avail of the two power saving modes. AMD, ATI and Ferrari have researched well into this machine and gave it a real world class standing among netbook users.Build quality is excellent without being to flashy on the inside allowing you full functionality rather than a novelty. The red ferrari cover maybe a fingerprint magnet. but a 3M high performance cleaning cloth should wipe your worries away and just enjoy the ferrari hood as it shines while you sip your cofee and browse the internet at any cofee house of your choosing. Gaming is limited to simple games found on yahoo and MS or even popcap. but playing experience is very smooth. HD videos should also be no problem at all. wait till the XGP port by ACER is released as the AcerVIVID box. that should allow your netbook more graphics power and added speed for your photo and video editing weekends.

If they came out with a black edition of this unit. Now that’s one heck of a ultraportable corporate tool for the busiest on the go sales and marketing executive. minus the weight of a reular laptop.
