Always spot on Acer insider Macles, have a few extra inside scoops for us, revealing some upcoming netbook plans and models from Acer.

Acer looks set to release another netbook based on the new Cedar Trail platform, being powered by the Intel Atom N2800 (1.86GHz dual core) processor.

Appart from this fact very little is know about this upcoming netbook, apart from its name, the Acer Aspire One A270. Or Acer AOD270 for short.

While the 10-inch Asus Transformer tablet powered by the Nvidia Tegra 2 platform is currently grabbing a lot of attention, those who are looking for a smaller tablet which is also powered by the dual core Tegra 2 platform will be pleased to know that the 7-inch Acer Iconia Tab A100 and A101 tablets are shipping 14th of May June 30th in the UK.

The Acer Aspire One AOD255E is the very latest netbook from Acer, and the first one available to feature the new dual core 1.66GHz Intel Atom N570 processor.

Intel has only just today officially announced their latest Intel Atom N570 processor to the world, stating that new netbooks will be shortly available from Asus, Acer, Lenovo and Lenovo. But on the very same day, the Acer AOD255E is already available and shipping out to happy customers.

The Acer AO522 was one of the few new netbook to have been announced at this years CES 2011.

The 10.1-inch Acer Aspire AO522 appeared on Amazon for pre-order just days after it’s announcement, and we are now very pleased to inform you that it is now shipping out. It can be purchased directly from Amazon for just $329.99.

Acer have just made the Acer Aspire One 522 10.1-inch netbook powered by the new AMD Fusion official.

It was leaked last December but now it’s back and official with its specifications confirmed. The design and chassis looks identical to the newer models from last year, but rather than the common Intel components the Acer Aspire AO522 makes use of the newly announced AMD C-50 Ontario APU (Accelerated Processing Unit, dual core 1GHz), Radeon HD 6250 graphics, which are capable of doing 1080p video and also features HDMI output for connection to an LCD or HDTV.

Netbook model names normally aren’t exactly easy to remember and I’m sure many people are also confused by the sometimes very similar model names.

It looks like Acer is abut to change that, well on one model at least, with the Acer Aspire One Happy.

This is without a doubt the the most fun netbook model names I have ever seen, and equally the easiest to remember. It sure beats for example the Acer Aspire One AOD521!

The Acer Aspire One 532h was announced at the start of the year and has been available for a number of months now.

It is currently one of Acer’s best selling netbooks on the market today, and after spending some time with it, it is easy to see why it is so popular.

The 10.1-inch netbook is available in a number of colors (blue, silver and red), is very thin and light and is also very well priced.

The Acer 532h is powered by the now common Intel Atom N450 1.6GHz processor, while this processor doesn’t offer any performance boots compared to the previous generation, it does use less power, resulting in longer run times and cooler operation.

So where better that start than some news about two up coming tablets from Acer?

Reliable source Digitimes are reporting that we should expect to see two Acer tablets coming our way as soon as the fourth quarter this year.

The Acer Aspire One D260 (AOD260) is one of Acer’s latest 10.1-inch netbooks. While it builds on the previous AOD250, it has the same design as the Aspire One 521, but it keeps its Intel Atom hardware, rather than featuring AMD’s as in the 521.

The 10.1-inch netbook has a standard 1024 x 768 pixel resolution LCD, and is available in a number of different configurations all making use of the Intel Atom processor and GMA 3150 graphics.

The new 10-inch Acer Aspire One D255 netbook has just been revealed by reliable source Macles.

The Acer Aspire One AOD255 builds on the AOD260 (slightly confusing giving a higher spec’ed model a lower model number), by giving it the new Intel Atom N550 dual core processor.
