Asus have announced the Asus 1002H netbook with the slightly faster 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU. Not to be confused with the also new Asus 1002HA, which features the 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU.
As well as a slightly faster clock speed, the Atom N280 CPU features a faster bus speed of 667MHz, allowing for components to communicate faster, for improved performance.
At first sight the Asus might sound the same as the 1000HE, but the Asus Eee PC 1002H is slightly smaller at 264 x 181 x 27.6 mm, and only 1.2 Kg, rather than 1.45kg. The Asus PC1002H has a shiny exterior with a professional look.
The specifications inside the 1002H are very similar to that of the 1002HA, with a 10-inch LED backlit LCD with a WSVGA resolution, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 160GB SATA hard drive, 1.3 megapixel camera, mulitcard reader, 3x USB 2.0, and audio in / and out.

The Asus 1002H’s wireless features are good with 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth V2.0 + EDR, along with 10GB of Eee storage space. There is also a chiclet style keyboard and multi-touch pad.
No word on the release date or price just yet, but we know it will be available in Black, Pearl White, and Pink color options.
