Over the last few days a number of new netbooks from leading number manufacturers Asus and Acer have gone on sale.

All three netbooks run the very latest hardware, and feature the latest Intel Atom N450 Pinetrail processor. This new CPU provides a small performance increase, but uses less power than the previous generation, enabling them to have even longer run time.

Asus Eee PC 1005PE

The Asus Eee PC 1005PE is latest version of the very popular 1005HA, and features a 10.1-inch LCD 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1GB of RAM, 250GB HDD, WiFi, Windows 7, 14 hour battery life and the Intel Atom N450 CPU.

Asus Eee PC 1001P

The Asus Eee PC 1001P is available in two versions, for $299.99 and for $339.99. The more more expensive model has a larger 250GB (rather than 160GB) hard drive, bluetooth and Windows 7 Starter.

Both models have a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 px display, 1GB of RAM, WiFi, Intel Atom N450 CPU and a 6-cell 11 hour battery.

Available from Amazon for between $299 and $339.

Acer Aspire AO532H

The Acer Aspire AO532H also has a 101.-inch 1024 x 600 pixel LCD display, 1GB of RAM, WiFi Intel Atom N450 CPU, and Windows 7 starter.

It’s also available in two models, one for $299 with a 160GB HDD and 8 hour battery life, and a $349 model with a larger 250GB hard drive and 10 hour battery life.
