A number of new upcoming Eee PC netbooks have recently been discovered, the already detailed 1001PX, the R101 and R101PX (which have just shown up in Germany) and now the Asus Eee PC 1005PX.
I find this model the most interesting as the Asus 1005PX is a variation on the most popular Eee PC 1005 line, with the current 1005PE ruling the best sellers list.
I found the Asus 1005PX through Asus’ support page, where it listed a BIOS update for all the new upcoming models, including the 1005PX.

Just like the new 1001PX is different from the 1001P, the 1005PX will be somewhat different from the 1005PE. It is expected to be a budget model with a tempting low price, and also feature the classic Windows XP operating system. But I expect it to also be available with Windows 7 for a little extra.
Update: Windows 7 has been confirmed by the Asus page.
Update 2: The Asus 1005PX made a very brief appearance on the official Asus site, revealing more of its details.
For starters, we know it will be available in a choice of colors, black, white, red, blue and pastel pink. It will make use of the Intel Atom N450 1.66Ghz CPU, with GMA X3150 graphics. Along with a standard 10.1-inch LCD, 1GB / 2GB of RAM, and a 160GB / 250GB / 320GB hard drive (we expect to see mostly 1GB & 250GB configurations).
It also features 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, multicard reader, webcam, and 6-cell 2.2mAh battery providing 8.5 hours of battery life. It measures 262mm x 178mm x 36.5mm – 25.9 mm and weighs 1.27Kg.
