Just a few short weeks ago Asus showed off the very impressive and slim looking Asus Eee PC 1008HA to the lucky lot at CeBIT.  Previously called the “Eee Shell” due to it’s impressively sleek and stylish design, which is thinner than all the currently available Eee PCs.

At the time of announcement, no price was announced. But now it seems to be heading towards to the UK buyers next month for £339. With the current exchange rate, that puts it at $420 U.S, which is pretty much what was expected, when the $400-500 estimate was placed.

The Asus EEE PC1008HA has to be one of the most beautiful netbooks we have seen, and it sure is slim, and a hell of a lot cheaper than a MacBook Air! I think the £339 price tag is very reasonable for such an impressive looking netbook, but others might not like it’s typical netbook performance when compared to a notebook, but then again, most uses will know exactly what they want the Asus 1008HA for.

Update: The Asus 1008HA has now been released, and it available to order from Amazon! (Shipping May 27th). Even better yet, Asus are giving buyers who pre-order the 1008HA a $20 discount, bringing the price down to just $429. Available in white, and black (In stock – $417!).
