If you had to ask me which netbook to date is the most highly anticipated netbook and best looking netbook, I would answer, the Asus 1008HA to both.

The Asus Eee PC 1008HA breaks away from the chunky plastic looking netbook of the past, and offers a very slim and stylish design. The 1008HA was first known as the Asus Seashell due to it’s impressive design.

The Asus 1008HA measures just 262 x 178 x 26mm, and weighs only 1.13kg, making it the slimmest netbook we have seen. It features the new Intel Atom N280 CPU which runs at 1.66Ghz, along with 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB HHD, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and a 1.3 megapixel webcam. There is also 2x USB 2.0 ports, a Mini Display port with VGA adapter and an internal 3-cell battery which lasts over 3 hours.

Review Quest have gathered six reviews, giving the Asus 1008HA a great 4.5 out of 5 rating. PCPro said, from the first moment you clap eyes on it, it’s quite clear that the Asus Eee PC 1008HA is an altogether classier beast than most of its predecessors. It looks gorgeous, feels great in use and, despite the captive battery, turns in a respectable performance away from the mains. While Cnet said, the Asus 1008HA is a stunning netbook. It’s very comfortable to use, extremely light and portable, and is a good all-round performer.
