A new upcoming netbook from Asus has been revealed via some documents which have shown up at the FCC.

A single photo has been added to the FCC website showing the bottom of the netbook, along with the model name. The Asus Eee PC 1008P / 1008PGO name indicates that it is a variation of the Asus 1008HA netbook.

The sticker at the bottom of the netbook also revealed a number of the Asus 1008P / PGO’s specifications. An Intel Atom N450 CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, Bluetooth 2.1, 1.3MP webcam, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi.

We expect it will be the same size as the current Asus 1008 netbook, with a 10.1-inch LCD with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution.

Asus usually adds the “GO” name to their netbooks with 3G wireless broadband, so the Asus 1008PGO model is likely to feature a 3G modem.

As the Asus 1008P / PGO are listed at the FCC, the US should see at least one of these models soon.

Any more information such as release date or price are currently unknown, but will be added to the site when available.

Update: Launching alongside the Asus Eee PC 1008P netbook will be the Asus 1005P model.The Asus Eee PC 1005P will be the Pine Trail version of the popular 1005HA netbook.

We have also found out that they will feature a new instant-on OS called ExpressGate, which uses Splashtop.

Update: The very slim and stylish Asus Eee PC 1000P-KR is now available to purchase from Amazon for $490 in Coffee Brown, and $495 in hot pink!
