The Asus EB1012 is one of the few netops that we have been keeping a keen eye on. If you can remember back to the start of September last year, Asus announced the Asus Eee Box EB1012 nettop, calling it “High Definition Entertainment in a 1L-Sized PC”.
Ever since it’s announcement we have hard nothing of the EB1012, until today! It has shown up for order at Amazon for $387!

For those of you looking for a small, quiet nettop which is also powerful enough to playback Full 1080p movies and output them HDMI to your HDTV the Asus EB1012 seems to be ideal.
Just to refresh you of the specifications. The Asus EB1012 features the Intel dual core N330 1.6GHz Atom CPU, Nvidia Ion chipset / graphics, a 160GB hard drive, 2GB of RAM, HDMI output, 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Windows 7 Home Premium.
The Asus Eee Box EB1012-B0257 is now listed on Amazon for pre-order for just $387, although the third-party sells also listed on Amazon seem to have it in stock for shipping right now.
It seems like a great price for a tiny powerful HD computer which only uses very little electricity.
