Computex has just kicked off in Taiwan and the new Asus Eee PC 1015N 10-inch netbook is being shown off to the world.
The Asus Eee PC 1015N is one of the first 10.1-inch netbooks to feature the next generation ion graphics (Ion 2) along with Nvidia Optimus technology. This gives the Asus 1015N a great advantage, as it gives it HD capable graphics and gaming when needed, and the low power Intel graphics when not, giving it great performance and battery life.
The Asus 1015N is also the first netbook I have seen to feature the latest dual core Intel Atom N550 1.5GHz processor.
The 10-inch 1015N is matte all over, including the 1024 x 600 pixel display, and lid, making it non reflective and fingerprint resistant. Other features include 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, large multi-touch trackpad, HDMI output (great to see!), chiclet keyboard, 6-cell battery and Windows 7 Starter.
The Asus Eee PC 1015N netbook is pushing the netbook market forwards with the Atom N550, Optimus technology, and the HDMI output on a 10.1-inch netbook. I very much look forward to seeing the 1015N!
It is expected to sell for about €400 or $490 US. I hope to see it with in a couple of months.

Asus just replied and said that in the near future they are certainly NOT going to sell the 1015N in Holland, wich probbably also means the rest of Europe.
Think i’ll settle with the 1005PE-matte wich can still play 720p with CoreAVC, since i have yet to find a 11,6 or 12 incher without the annoying glossy screen…
