We have known that the Asus Eee PC 1015PD has been coming our way for a while now, since it first appeared on a number of official Asus web pages.
But the Asus Eee PC 1015PD has now been made official by Asus. They have posted up a product page for the 1015PD, along with a number of photos and its specifications.
As expected, it is a 10-inch netbook, which is powered by either the new Intel Atom N455 1.66GHz processor, or the Intel Atom N475 1.83GHz processor. It will come with 1-2GB of DDR3 RAM, but we expect to see it mostly available with 1GB, but of course this can be upgraded later if desired.

Other specifications include Intel GMA 3150 graphics, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, 0.3MP webcam, and three hard drive sizes; 160GB, 250GB or 320GB capacities. It will also be available with four battery sizes, a 3-cell 23Whr, or 6-cell (48Whr, 56Whr. 63Whr). The 63Whr is one of the largest capacities I have seen to date, and should provide roughly 13 hours of battery life.
As this is one of the latest generation netbooks, it also features two USB 3.0 ports (along with 1x USB 2.0) for 10x faster speeds. The Asus 1015PD comes with Windows 7 Starter and Express Gate quick boot software.
