I’ll start of by pointing out the differences between the 10125CE and the 1025C, the CE is the higher end model and features a metal finish rather than plastic on the C model. The CE also features a sliding cover on the webcam, which also features a 4x zoom, along with USB 3.0, and a sleep and charge USB 2.0.
The Asus Eee PC 1025 series is a brandnew netbook with an all new design and the first to feature the Cedar Trail Atom Processor (proably the N2600 or N2800). The new design looks very nice and feautres a metalic finish lid, with chrome finishs around the sides, and a chrome mouse button, flush trackpad, and chiclet keyboard. There is also a Single access port for RAM upgrades.
Along with the New Cedar Trail Atom processor the Asus 1025CE / 1025C feautres upto 2GB of DDR3 RAM, upto 500GB hard drive, a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 pixel display, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, and either a 3 or 6 cell battery, and runs windows 7 Starter Edition.
Connectivity is good with USB 2.0 / USB 3.0, VGA & HDMI output, Ethernet, audio in and out, and a a mutlicard reader.
I suspect these models will be very popular, as they looks great, are use the latest hardware, and most importantly, are very well priced. The Asus 1025C will cost just $249, and the higher end Asus 1025CE model $279.
We can expect to see them in Q4 this year, but as always we will keep you up to date.
Hands on video the Asus Eee PC 1025C, thanks to netbook news.
