Asus Eee PC

Asus 1201NWe have known about the Asus Eee PC 1201N netbook since late August, and it has even shown up for pre-order in a number of countries including the US. But until today the Asus 1201N hasn’t been officially announced by Asus, and only a few photos have been floating around the net.

On the same day that Asus have officially recognized the Asus 1201N it has been given a quick hands on by the team over at laptopmag.

The Asus 1201N is special because it is the very first netbook to pair the Nvidia Ion platform for HD graphics, with the dual core Atom CPU. The nearest competitor to the 1201N is the HP Mini 311, which features the Ion graphics, but only a single core Atom CPU.

Now that the Asus Eee PC 1201N is official, we can guarantee that the specifications are correct, but there are no surprises here, and is as expected.
