The very highly anticipated dual core CPU and Nvidia Ion powered 12-inch netbook, the Asus 1201N Eee PC is now available to order from Amazon!
We have seen the Asus Eee PC 1201N show up for pre-order before on some smaller sites, but non of the main retailers. So it’s great to see it listed on Amazon for $499. Now we also have a definite release date of January 15th. While it’s a big shame they didn’t get it out in time for Christmas, it’s still very nice to see it in the hands of a large retailer.

The 12-inch stylish netbook is also the first netbook to feature both the Ion graphics, and dual core N300 processor.
You can pre-order both the Black and silver models for $499 direct from Amazon.
Update!: Rather than wait until January 15th, Newegg.com are shipping the 1201N now for $499!
They ship with 2GB of DDR2 RAM (upto 8GB!), a 250GB hard drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, and Windows 7 Home Premium.
If you like the look of the 1201N but don’t need the HD graphics performance, you can always go for the cheaper, and currently available Asus 1201HA netbook, which has the same design.
