A third variation of the Asus 1201 Eee PC netbook has now been discovered.
We first found out about the first Ion powered Eee PC, the Asus 1201N when it showed up on an online store. We later found the 1201HA version, which doesn’t feature the Ion graphics, but uses the Intel GMA 500 graphics and the Atom Z520 CPU.
Now, a third version, the Asus 1201T has shown up in the official Asus manual. The specifications of the Asus Eee PC 1201T are currently unknown, but 1201T has the same port layout as the 1201N, but lacks the HDMI port.
I assume the “T” version doesn’t feature Ion graphics, as it wouldn’t make sense to remove the HDMI port if it did.
The highly anticipated Asus 1201N is still unofficial, but as the HA has now been made official, it shouldn’t be too long until we see more of it.
Update: The Asus Eee PC 1201T has now been officially announced. It sits between the HA and N models, and features the AMD Congo MV40 1.6GHz CPU and ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics.
