It seems as if Asus have been listening to the massive crowd who see the ultra small and quite EeeBox PC as an ideal HTPC.
Asus have announced the ASUS EeeBox EB1012, which Asus are calling High Definition Entertainment in a 1L-Sized PC. Many people, including myself have looked at the existing nettop PCs, and wished it featured a dual-core Atom CPU along with the Nvidia Ion graphics.
The Asus EB1012 features a dual core Intel Atom N330 CPU, with NVIDIA MCP7A ION graphics, 2GB of DDR2 RAM (upto 4GB) and a 250GB SATA hard disk.
Other features include 802.11n WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, HDMI output and S/PDIF 5.1 audio out.

The connectivity features along with the Ion graphics and dual core CPU make the ASUS Eee Box EB1012 a perfect candidate for use as a HTPC / media center, as it can easily playback 1080p content, and full screen Flash video form Hulu and more.
The Asus EB1012 measures just 222 x 178 x 26.9mm and uses 80% less power than a standard PC, and comes with Windows Vista Home Premium.
There are also 4x USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, and a SDHC card reader.
I will defiantly be keeping my eye on this little powerful nettop. Currently no price or release date is know.
It will be available in two colors, Noble White & Modern Black.
Update: The Asus EeeBox EB1012 is now available from Amazon for less than $399!
Asus EB1012U
Asus have even more recently announced the Asus Eee Box EB1012U, which looks identical to the EB1012, and is in every way, except the Asus EB1012U features 2x USB 3.0 ports for extra speed boost!
