If there has ever been a highly anticipated nettop, the Asus Eee Box EB1501 would be it! Even before it was officially announced the slot feed DVD-burning Asus EB1501 nettop has had a very large following, with many people eager to get their hands on it.
The Asus Eee Box EB1501 is now available to pre-order in the US from Amazon for $479.
Just last week it was officially released in the UK, but as far as I can tell, very few, or no units have yet to ship, and it’s currently listed a out of stock.
But seeing it up for pre-order in the US from a major retailer is a great sign.

The Asus 1501 stands out from the rest, as it features a built-in slot feed DVD burner, Nvidia Ion graphics for 1080p playback, HDMI output and Windows 7 Home Premium. It can also be mounted to the back of your monitor or HDTV making it a great media center / HTPC.
