You might remember that towards the end of last year Asus announced the EeeBox EB1501. This EeeBox created quite a bit of attention as it was the worlds first nettop which could be mounted to the back of your LCD monitor or HDTV which features a built in DVD burner.
Now the latest version of the EB1501 is the Asus EeeBox EB1501P, and it looks like it should be coming our way very soon. It recently appeared (and then vanished) from the official Asus website, so it looks like the are prepping for a release.
The Asus EB1501P is similar in design to the original version, but it now features the dual core Intel Atom D510 processor, and the next generation Nvidia Ion graphics (Ion 2), along with a high speed USB 3.0 port.

Asus EB1501P
As before the Asus EB1501P should make a great HTPC / media center. As well as the blue colored USB 3.0 ports (which is 10x faster than USB 2.0) it also features Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, upto 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 250GB hard drive and Windows 7 Home Premium. Other ports include HDMI, eSATA and a multicard reader.
It is also available with an optional remote control, along with either a wireless or wired keyboard and mouse.
We hope to see the EB1501P and the EB1012P (without DVD Drive) very soon, we will keep you updated.
Update: Specifications have been confirmed as being powered by the dual-core Intel Atom D525 processor along with Nvidia Ion 2 graphics, 250GB hard drive, 2GB of DDR3 RAM, and Bluetooth.
