According to industry sources Asus are currently working on a touch screen pad device. The Asus Eee Pad, as it has already been dubbed is said to offer a combination of MID and tablet PC capabilities.
The Eee Pad is also said to measure between four and seven inches diagonally. Currently this is the only information available. The device has apparently been inspired by the rumors of the planned Apple tablet device.
There has been more and more talk about tablet devices, especial the with Crunch Pad turn JooJoo.

It makes sense to me for Asus to release a tablet device as they already have convertible touchscreen netbooks on the market with their own software.
