Asus seem to be very pleased with their new chiclet keyboard design, which is found on most of the newer Eee PC netbooks. A new chiclet style keyboard can now be found on the new Asus 1000HA. The updated Asus Eee PC 1000HA seems to be exactly the same as the original 1000HA, with the exception of the new keyboard.
The exact model name is the Asus EPC1000HA-BLK026X, and is already available from a number of online stores including Amazon.
As stated before, the updated Asus 1000HA has the original specifications, but I will run through them quickly here. You will find an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB hard drive, 7 hours battery life, and Windows XP.
The Asus 1000HA has proven to be a very popular netbook, offering a great design at a great price. We assume Asus feels that people very much like the new chiclet keyboard design (which is designed to make typing easier and quicker), and would like to see it on the Asus 1000HA.
