We have previously seen Asus release a WiMax laptop and also show off an Eee PC demo at CES 2008. Now, Asus has officially announced the WiMax equipped Asus Eee PC 1000HG netbook.
The Asus Eee PC1000HG will feature both built in WiFi and WiMax capabilities. Few other details are currently known but do we know the specifications of all the wireless side of things. IEEE 02.16e and WAVE2, along with the traditional 802.11a/b/g/n support in both the 2.4GHz~2.7GHz and 5.1GHz~5.8GHz radio bands.
If you’re looking for a truly portable netbook with high-speed 3.5G wireless broadband almost everywhere you go the Asus Eee PC 1000HG should be worth keeping an eye on.
