As soon as the Asus 1005PE was first announced I knew it would be a very popular netbook. I believe this as I feel that the Eee PC 1005PE offers exactly what the mass netbook audience is looking for in a netbook.
Building on one of the most popular netbooks, the Asus 1005HA, the new Asus 1005PE has taken this successful netbook and upgraded it with the latest generation Intel Atom 450 processor (Pine Trail, hence the “P”), and made a number of tweaks along the way.

The Asus Eee PC 1005PE offers a 10-inch LCD, which is the most popular size, a great stylish “Seashell” design, great battery life, and impressive keyboard, all at a very competitive price.
This latest PE version also comes with the latest Windows 7 Starter operating system. Other features include a 250GB hard drive, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, 802.11g/b/n WiFi, 1GB of RAM and 3x USB 2.0 ports.

The Asus 1005PE has been reviewed by a number of places, all being very impressed and giving it a great review. Laptopmag were impressed with it’s chassis and design, it’s comfortable keyboard and loud speakers. There were also very impressed with it’s excellent endurance lasting over 10.5 hours. This is currently the longest battery life from a 6-cell battery.
This netbook is a great bargain, offering longer battery life than the previous version and the vast majority of netbooks, along with a larger 250GB hard drive for roughly the same price.
The Asus 1005PE netbook is available in two configurations and is currently shipping from Amazon from just $329.99 in White and and Black color options with an 11 hour battery life. A 14 hour battery life model is also available for a little extra at $368.59 available in Black and Blue color options.
