The new products from Asus are coming in thick and fast ahead of CeBIT 2010, and the Asus Eee PC 1016P has grabbed a vast amount of attention.

While at first glance looking similar to the newly announced Asus 1018P, the Asus 1016P aluminum clad netbook packs a few extras.

I have long thought that the Eee PC range doesn’t look very business like or professional as some of the other netbook offering from other manufactures. This is set to change with the Asus Eee PC 1016P, or Asus Eee PC Diary as it’s also known.

Asus 1016P

The Asus 1016P has a professional aluminum design, which provides a gloss free finish, and strong build quality. Security is also enhanced with a finger print scanner.

The Asus Eee PC 1016P has a 10.1-inch LCD with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, along with the Intel Atom N450 / N470 CPU or N455 or N475 processor.

There seem to be a number of options including 1-2GB of RAM, a hard drive size from 160GB – 250GB and three battery options. A 9 hour 63000mAh battery, 7.5 hour 47000mAh, and an ultra slim 3-cell 23000mAh battery.

Connectivity is also more impressive on the 1016P, along with 802.11g/b/n WiFi there is also, Bluetooth 2.1 and 3.0, 3G and WiMAX.
