Asus Eee PC

Asus Eee pc s101I believe that the brand new Asus Eee PC S101 is by far the best looking Eee PC to date, and probably the best looking netbook overall. Asus has constantly been improving their Eee PC range ever since feeling the pressure of it’s increasing competition. Most netbooks are built on the budget side, and often look slightly cheap, but the Eee PC S101, if definitely an exception, it looks everything as good as a highend full sized laptop.

With it’s great looks the Eee PC S101 is of course also ultra portable and extremely slim at just 23mm at the front and 26mm at the rear, a full 12mm thinner than the already thin Eee PC 1000. Extended battery life of up to and ultra fast boot times are archived by the use of a solid state drive (SSD) which is also shock proof as it has no moving parts. A large 10.2″ widescreen LED backlit LCD screen with a 1024 x 600 resolution provides easy viewing of documents and for web browsing.

mobilecomputermag were lucky enough to get their hands on the Asus Eee PC S101, and they said, the overriding impression is that you are looking at a particularly compact ultraportable rather than a cheap netbook, which is the whole idea. Asus still leads the netbook pack by some margin when it comes to battery life, thanks to the high-capacity cells supplied with its Atom-powered Eee PCs, lasting just over five hours in light-use. The Asus Eee PC S101 does run very quietly, if it has a fan, it’s a silent one.
