A new model from the Eee Box range of nettop computers from Asus looks to be coming our way soon.
The Asus EB1012P is the successor of the Eee Box EB1012 from last year.
The new Asus Eee Box EB1012 maintains its Wii sized dimensions but now makes use of the next generation Nvidia Ion 2 graphics for Full 1080p HD video playback and HDMI output. It also uses the dual core Intel Atom D510 1.66GHz processor, and 2GB of DDR 800MHz memory (1x2048MB).
The HD capabilities, along with HDMI output and multichannel audio from S/PDIF 5.1 make the Asus EB1012P idea for use as an HTPC / media center unit, which is quiet and uses very little power (<40W).

Other features include 6 x USB ports, 250GB 2.5-inch hard drive, an eSATA port, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, VGA output (along with HDMI), 5-in-1 multicard reader, gigabit Ethernet, optional Bluetooth and Windows 7 Home Premium edition.
