The PC in the Keyboard, the Asus Eee Keyboard PC is now finally available to pre-order for $599!
We first heard of the Eee Keyboard way back in March ’09 where it created a big buzz. Since then we saw it being officially shown off at CES at January, we talks of a release soon.
Although the Asus EeeKeybaord still isn’t officially shipping, as it is up for pre-order it has to be any moment now.
So the keyboard is finally seeing the light of day a year after it’s first glimpse.
The Eee Keyboard is a cool device, and is essentially a netbook or nettop crammed into a keyboard with a 5 inch, 800 x 480 pixel multitouch display which can be used for launching applications, viewing information and more.
Specification wise it uses an Intel Atom N270 1.6Ghz processor, along with 1GB of RAM, a 16GB SSD, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Ethernet and Windows XP Home operating system.
As well as having three USB 2.0 ports and a VGA output, it also features a wireless HDMI transmitter, sending digital a image and audio to your HDTV or monitor. We assume Asus have done this as they can see it also being used as a couch computer.
It’s available to pre-order from Amazon for $599!
