The first Eee PCs and netbooks to be released featured an under-clocked (slowed down) Intel Celeron M 353 processor (CPU). Recently Intel have created and released a CPU called the Intel Atom, which has been specifically designed for netbooks. This new Intel Atom processor is more powerful and efficient than ever before, making netbooks powered by them faster with longer running times.
We are beginning to see new netbooks with the Intel Atom N270 CPU now on the market. As I’m sure these Intel Atom netbooks will be popular I have created a list of netbooks powered by the Atom CPU.
