Someone who claims to be working in the PC industry has posted some leaked slides from an Asus Roadmap listing upcoming netbooks later this year.
The leaked roadmap hasn’t been confirmed so take it with a grain of salt for now.
The roadmap shows that there will be three new netbooks will be launched in October, the Asus Eee PC 1201N, and two new updated versions of the popular Asus Eee PC 1005HA, the 1005HA-P and the 1005HA-M.
Asus Eee PC 1201N
The Asus Eee PC 1201N is the most interesting of the lot, and is rumored to has a large 12-inch LCD, a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor along with the highly anticipated Nvidia ION graphics. It also has more beefier specifications than most netbooks, with a large 250GB hard drive, 2GB of RAM, 6-cell battery, Bluetooth 802.11b/g/n WiFi.
The Asus 1201N will also be the only netbook on the list to come with Windows 7 Home Premium. It is reported to cost $499.
Asus Eee PC 1005HA-P (Refresh)
The new Asus Eee PC 1005HA-P will replacing the existing Asus 1005HA-P model, but will have some updated specifications, such as a larger 250GB hard drive, 6-cell 10.5 hour battery, and will come with Windows 7 Starter Edition. Other specifications include Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n WiFi. It should cost $399.
Asus Eee PC 1005HA-M (Refresh)
The Asus 1005HA-M is a new version of the 1005HA-V which features the Atom N270 1.6GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 6-cell (8.5 hour) battery, larger 250GB hard drive, and Windows 7 Starter edition. The Asus Eee PC 1005HA-M will cost $349.
Also new is the Asus 1008HA-P, which features an Atom N280 CPU, 320GB hard drive, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 2GB RAM, and Bluetooth for $480.
The Asus 1008HA-M has the same N280 CPU, 250GB hard drive, 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g/n WiFi for $50 less at $430.
The Asus T91MT is also rumored to be a multi-touch version, for $549.
