Having just announced the first touchscreen / convertible tablet netbook the Asus Eee PC T91, Asus also have another “first” up their sleeves.
The Asus S121 is a 12.2-inch netbook / mini laptop which features a massive 512GB SSD. Which Asus say its a world’s first / biggest to ever be featured in a netbook.
Weighing less than 3-pounds and offering a massive 8-hours of battery life the Asus S121 is indeed very portable. It’s powered by an Intel Atom Z520 CPU and uses Asus’ Syper Hybrid Engine.
We are hearing reports that the Asus Eee PC S121 will have a version with a massive 512GB SSD for $1650 and a 120GB version for $899. A little on the pricey side, but nothing is known for sure right now.
Other details will be announced and added when Asus publish their official press release.
