The Asus Eee PC T91, along with the S101, is the most unique Eee PC to-date, and very different from the existing Eee PC’s we have seen from Asus before. Hailed as the “new generation of netbooks” the Asus T91 is a multi touch convertible tablet netbook.
The two pound netbook looks fairly standard at first looks, but the touch screen 8.9-inch LED backlit LCD display can converted into a tablet pc / netbook by rotating around the display, and then lowering it onto the keyboard.
The Asus Eee PC T91 is powered by the Atom Z520 CPU, 1GB DDR2 memory, and features 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11 b/g WiFi, 32GB SSD , bluetooth, webcam, and optional 3G data connectivity, GPS and DVB-T TV Tuner. The touch screen 8.9-inch display has a 1,024 x 768 pixel resolution.
The AsusĀ T91 is still a few months away from release, but Bit-tech were lucky enough to get their hands on a preview model, where they said the touch software was not perfect, and the screen picked up a lot of finger prints, but the unit was only a preview model and the software will hopefully be improved by them. The inclusion of GPS, TV tuner and WWAM were great added features.
Expect to see the Asus Eee PC T91 available around April / May time.
