While everyone is struggling to get their hands on the very impressive and in short supply Asus Eee Pad Transformer tablet (which is powered by the Tegra 2 dual core processor), Asus is apparently already working on a new tablet powered by the dual core Tegra 3 chipset.
DigTimes has reported that Asus is already working on a Tegra 3 tablet, which is built around the very impressive Kal-El quad-core SOC. Along with this tablet they are apparently also working on another tablet powered by an Intel CPU, most likely the Intel Atom Z670 1.5GHz processor which has been designed for tablets, and provides 1080p HD playback and impressive battery life.
From earlier videos, Tegra 3 has shown three times the video performance on the Tegra 2 models. There is no word when we can expect to see these new tablets from Asus, but from Nvidia’s roadmap it looks like we should expect to see quad-core chips to surface in August.
