Asus have just announced there new UL series of thin and light laptops with CULV (consumer ultra low voltage) processors.
The Asus UL series consists of four different sized laptops, with the Asus UL20 being the smallest at 12.1-inches.
“Thin and light” laptops are considered to the the new middle ground between netbooks and standard laptops, offering long battery life, with a lighter design than most laptops, but offering more powerful specifications.
The 12.1-inch Asus UL20A is pretty much the same size as some of the larger 11.6-inch netbooks on the market, but offers more powerful specifications.

It will be available with a selection of three CPUs, the Intel Celeron Processor SU2300/743 1.2GHz, Intel Core 2 Solo Processor SU3500 1.4GHz (as in the popular Asus 1410, and the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor SU7300, 1.3GHz. Paired with the Intel GS45 chipset and integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics.
The Asus UL20′s 12.1-inch LCD has a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, and up to 4GB of RAM, with a hard drive capacity up to 320GB,
It comes with a 6-cell battery, measures 296mm x 210mm x 25.1mm (3 cell) or 30.9mm (6 cell), and weighs 1.5kg.
