We have been hearing rumors of Dell releasing two more netbooks after the Dell Mini 9, to add further pressure to the ever increasing Asus Eee PC market. The forthcoming Dell E (8.9-inch) and Dell E Slim (12.1-inch) netbooks had a few details leaked a few months back, but not much since. Engadget have been able to get a “in the wild” shot of what they believe to be the Dell E Slim.

This will be Dell’s first netbook in the 10-12-inch size range. If this is indeed the “E Slim” and if they even keep that name, it sure does look very nice indeed. From a screen shot of the system, the system appears to be running with 1GB ram installed and a 1.33GHz Intel Atom CPU. Interestingly this same image shows the model name as Dell “Optiplex 1210“, but this is probably just for testing and not the official name.

We look forward to finding about more about the “Dell E Slim” and will keep you posted on more as we find out. If this comes in at under $599, and has a dual core Atom option which we have been hearing about, I’m sure the Dell E Slim will be very popular.
