The extremely anticipated Dell Mini 10, has been available for pre-order from QVC for a little while now, and is scheduled for taking pre-order directly from Dell from February 26th (just three days, at time of writing), and shipping early next month.
But there has been some strange findings regarding the first batch of released Mini 10′s. From the official Dell Blog “Initially, all Mini 10s will come with 1GB fixed RAM (which means it will not be upgradeable)”. So even if you buy it with the 1GB of ram, don’t be planning on upgrading it anytime later.
We’re just glad they said “Initially”. Hopeful there will be some way of knowing when the “upgradeable” models are available to order. This seems a very strange things to do, especially when Dell is a company based on custom computers and upgrades.

Also, anyone who wants anything else than Windows XP, such as Ubuntu, or a 720p display or TV tuner will have to wait for these upgrades to become available. Hopefuly it won’t be too much longer now.
