I just spent a few minuets surfing around the official Dell site, looking at the different Inspiron Mini netbooks (9, 10 and 12), and spotted a new model.
A model listed as the Dell Inspiron Mini 9n, the 9n is a variation of the Inspiron Mini 9. The 9n model features Ubuntu Linux operating system rather than Windows XP, and is listed for $70 cheaper than the standard Mini 9 model.
With the standard low-end components the Dell Inspiron Mini 9n offers the best value for money, featuring the Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU, a 8.9 LED backlit LCD (1024 x 600), 4GB Solid State Drive and 512MB RAM.

If you’re looking for a great, and cheap netbook, and not worried about the Windows XP operating system the Dell Mini 9n is a great candidate. And if any of the component are too low for your liking, they can of course be upgraded.
