The Dell Zino HD has finally been released in the U.S, along side it’s release just 24 hours earlier in the UK.
The Zino HD has a very attractive design and starting price of just $229. The Zino nettop measures just 7.75- x 7.75- x 3.5-inches and has a low starting price, but it packs a punch, and is a lot more powerful than a typical nettop.
The base configuration of the Dell Inspiron Zino HD features an AMD Athlon 2650e processor, 2GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics, and an 8x slot feed DVD burner, along with Windows 7 Home Premium.
Pretty much every component of the Dell Zino can be upgraded such as the CPU, to the dual-core AMD Athlon Neo X2 6850e, upto 8GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, and
512MB ATI Radeon HD 4330 discrete graphics. You can also upgrade the DVD burner to a Blu-ray drive, which can read blu-ray discs and burn DVDs.
It also features a 4-in-1 card reader, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, 2x eSATA ports, and 4x USB 2.0. I don’t know about you, but I see the Dell Zino HD as an ideal HTPC / Media Center, with plenty of power to decode and playback 1080p HD videos.
As you can see from the above photo, the Zino HD is available in many different colors!
The Dell Zino HD is available direct from Dell.Com with prices starting at $299
