The Gateway LT3100 is going a slightly different route than most netbooks on the market. The main difference is that rather than using an Intel Atom CPU, the LT3100 features a CPU from AMD. The 1.2GHz AMD Athlon 64 L110 sits inside the Gateway LT3100, along with ATI Radeon X1270 graphics.
It features a 11.6-inch HD LED backlit LCD with a WXGA (1364 x 768 resolution 16:9 widescreen ratio) which gives you extra room, and is great for watching media on.
The LT3100 netbook is available with upto 2GB of RAM, and 250GH hard drive. There is also the typical card reader, webcam, 802.11b/g WiFi, and 3x USB 2.0 ports. Gateway have also included a more powerful 6-cell Li-ion battery, and Windows Vista Basic.
The Gateway LT3100 will be available in “NightSky Black” and “Cherry Red“, for $400 very soon.
