HP Mini 5102The HP Mini 5102 netbook is HP’s latest business orientated netbook, which is a slight upgrade over their previous model, the 5102.

The HP 5102 is aimed at business professionals, and while this might be the case, an every day user who appreciates the professional design and high build quality of the 5102 should consider it.

Announced at the start of the year, the insides the 5102 are similar to most new netbooks on the market, making use of the latest Intel Atom N450 1.66Ghz processor. Unlike most netbooks the HP Mini 5102 offers a number of optional upgrades such as touchscreen, 3G, SSD and a carry handle.

Unlike the previous 5102 model, the new 5102 is available in a number of color options, all boasting the tough metal finish and spill resistant keyboard.

Just moments after the HP Mini 5102 was announced it has been reviewed by both Cnet and LaptopMag, both seem to be very impressed with it, and giving it four out of five stars, along with Laptopmag awarding it their editors choice award.

Both had very little bad to say about it, both praising it’s high build quality, excellent keyboard and battery life. Cnet said “HP’s sturdy and stylish Mini 5102 is a slight upgrade to one of our favorite Netbooks”.

If you’re looking for a professional modern netbook with optional extras and a stylish design the HP Mini 5102 looks like the best choice currently on the market. Priced at just over $400 it has a higher starting price than most netbooks, but it does bring higher build quality, fast 7200 rpm hard drive as standard.
