HP launched the mini-Q nettop in Taiwan last November, and now the very same model seems to be joining the rest of the world known as the HP Compaq CQ2000M.
Now launching in Europe, the name might of changed, but the Compaq CQ2000M is the same little nettop with the same specifications under the hood.
The specifications are fairly usual with the Intel Atom Z230 1.6GHz CPU, 1GB of DDR2 RAM which is upgradeable to 2GB, a 160GB 7,200rpm hard drive, Ethernet, and Intel GMA950 graphics.
An added bonus on the HP Compaq CQ2000M, which we don’t see on most nettops is a dual layer DVD burner. There is also a multi-format card reader, VGA output and Windows XP Home operating system.

There has been no information regarding the HP CQ2000M’s release in the US, but it should be available along with a 20-inch LCD monitor for €349.
Unfortunately, there’s also still no indication of a release on this side of the pond, but those in Europe can apparently grab one now bundled with a 20-inch monitor for €349, or about $440.
