HP

HP have announced two new “Designer Netbooks” in as many days.

HP seem to want to create a trend of “Digital Clutches”, fit for the catwalk. While these netbooks won’t be very appealing to the general audience, HP are hoping they will find their own niche with fashion lovers.

The first up is the HP Mini 110 by Tord Boontje. This designer version has a unique design which has been created with “HP Imprint 3D” which adds a 3D depth and layers to the design.

Unlike some other designer netbooks (as below) you won’t have to pay and arm and a leg for it. HP are asking just $399 for the Tord Boontje edition.

Next up is the new HP Vivienne Tam digital clutch netbook which has been inspired by the Chinese love story “Butterfly Lovers”. The HP PR says that it symbolizes “love, freedom, independence and transformation”. This may of may not be to your taste, it all depends on if you like the design.

Vivienne Tam’s new digital clutch won’t be available until Spring 2010, and you can expect to pay more than $399.
