The HP Mini 311 has made a very swift turn around from being announced to be available to purchase. So fast in fact that it has become the very first Ion powered netbook to become available.

Other Nvidia Ion powered netbooks, such as the Lenovo S12 and Samsung N510 (released in Europe), were announced before the HP Mini 311 series, but are still unavailable, as they have been delayed until the release of Windows 7 in late October.

The Compaq Mini 311 is the European version of the very impressive HP Mini 311 netbook (which is available in the U.S).

Although the Compaq Mini 311 has different branding the netbook is essentially exactly the same, featuring the highly anticipated Nvidia Ion LE graphics.

HP have announced two new “Designer Netbooks” in as many days.

HP seem to want to create a trend of “Digital Clutches”, fit for the catwalk. While these netbooks won’t be very appealing to the general audience, HP are hoping they will find their own niche with fashion lovers.

Although not officially announced by HP just yet, the HP Mini 311 seems well and truly on it’s way.

The HP Mini 311 has already shown up on a number of retailers websites along with a number of useful specifications. The HP 311 appears to be a 11.6-inch netbook, with an Intel Atom 1.6Ghz processor and Nvidia Ion LE graphics.

In a report from DigiTimes, they state that HP has contracted Quanta to start production on some all new 11.6-inch netbook in August this year, and also a new 10.1-inch model before the year end.

As soon as you get a look at the HP Mini 5101 you will see that it is no ordinary netbook, and some would say it was a set up from the common netbook.

The HP Mini 5101 is a durable business class netbook with a compact design, long battery life and a high quality aluminum and magnesium chassis.

Just a few days after the HP Mini 110 XP was made available with the Broadcom HD video acceleration card and two additional color options, HP have now added an option for the HD 1,366 x 768 pixel display!

For just $30 extra on your order, you can now get the HP Mini 110 XP edition with the higher HD resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, rather than the standard 1024 x 576 version.

HP have now made their HP Mini 110 XP available with the Broadcom HD video acceleration card, and two more additional color options.

As well as being able to select the Atom N270 or N280 CPU, you can now get the Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video accelerator (available under “Video Accelerator”), for an extra $30.

For those of you looking for a smart and professional looking netbook, the new HP Mini 5101 should look ideal.

The HP 5101 netbook features a high quality aluminum and magnesium chassis which should appeal to the mobile professional, and frankly, anyone who likes some style.

For those of you patiently waiting for the release of the new HP Mini 110 netbook, your day has finally come. Both the HP Mini 110 Mi and Mini 110 XP netbook are now up on the official HP site and are taking orders.
