Firstly it is available with the the new dual core Intel Atom N550 processor, or the standard single core Atom N455 processor. Along with a choice of processors the LG X170 comes with a choice of either the standard 1024 x 600 pixel resolution LCD, or a 1366 x 768 pixel HD display. Upgrading to the HD display model gives you extra screen space, which makes everything feel a whole lot less cramped.
LG have also pre-loaded the X170 with a feature they are calling “SmartPOP” , this feature allows you to connect with your phone wirelessly and access of the features of your phone including, making and receiving calls along with SMS.
Other specifications of the X170 include 1GB of DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, Bluetooth 3.0, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, integrated Intel GMA 3150 graphics, and a 6-cell battery.
The LG XNote X170 has a very nice stylish design, and features a chicklet style keyboard, and a well sized touchpad with individual left and right buttons. On the bottom of the netbook there is a RAM access panel to allow for easy RAM upgrades.
The LG X170 comes with Windows 7 Starter Edition, weighs just 1.3KG, and will be available in black, ivory, blue and pink color options.
While it was announced over in Korea, it was also on display in the US earlier this month at CES 2011, indicating a U.S release. We will as always keep you up to date.
