Four new MSI Wind netbooks have shown up on MSI’s official website, although these new netbooks have all new model names, the netbooks appear to be small updates to existing models.
The new netbooks consist of the MSI Wind L1300, L1350, and L2300. All seem to be very similar to existing models which are currently available, so it’s not exactly clear why MSI have gone with the new model names.
MSI Wind L1350, L1300
The MSI Wind L1300 and L1350 look to be updated models of the Wind U130 and U135. Both the L1300 and L1350 have a 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 pixel LCD, and features the 1.66GHz Intel Atom N450 processor.
Although we’re not too sure what is new, apart form the model name. The MSI L1300 features Windows XP, while the MSI L1350 has Windows 7 Starter edition, and a 20% wider trackpad.
Update: The L1300 and L1350 are now available on amazon! The L1300 is $279.99, and the L1350 is available from between $299 and $329.
MSI Wind L2300
The MSI Wind L2300 is the twin brother of the U230, and has a larger 12.1-inch display with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, and is powered by the more powerful CULV AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 processor.
As you can see these new models seem to be pretty much, if not exactly identical to the Wind U series. If we stumble on anything more significant we’ll be sure to let you know.
